mischievous, independent, shy
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Name: Oliver James Lawrence
Nickname(s): Oliver, Olly, O
Disney Character: Oliver, Oliver & Company
Age: Seventeen
Birthdate: August 17th, 1992
Birthplace: New York City
Orientation: Heterosexual
Member group: Childlike Figure? I think?
Education: Oliver has completed elementary and middle school, and he is now in his senior year at the Collegiate School for boys. He has spent his entire school career there since his adoption.
Oliver James Lawrence is five feet and eleven inches tall, he’s not a giant, but he’s not a complete midget either, so he is perfectly content with the height he is currently at. His weight is proportionate to his height, and he is kind of scrawny though. He doesn’t look very toned when you start to look at him, and he doesn’t really care either, he’s comfortable the way he is.
Oliver’s hair is one of his favorite features about himself. It is naturally blonde, and he has no intentions of ever changing the color of his hair. He also tends to keep it long, putting it above his eyebrows, but it is to his neck around the rest of his head. He messes with his hair all the time, changing the style and changing the length, and that’s just the way he is when it comes to his hair. He’s also playing with his hair constantly, it’s very rare to find him without his hands in his hair.
Last but certainly not least, we have Oliver Lawrence’s eyes and face. His eyes are a grayish color, and there is not much else to them. He does not require the use of contacts or glasses, and he’s perfectly fine with that. He has good eyesight and he’s glad he doesn’t have to wear glasses or contacts. His face, in general, is oval shaped. And all of his features fit perfectly on his face. His smile is another important feature on his face. He wore braces from the time he was eleven until he was fifteen, and when he got them off, he wasn’t very happy with his smile, but he just dealt with it.
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Best Feature: “I’m gonna say my hair. I love it, it’s the perfect style, and I love the color. I’m constantly playing with it and fixing it, and I can’t help it.”
Worst Feature: “I don’t really like my smile all too much. My teeth sort of make it look like I have fangs, and it’s not a very appealing look. I’m not a damn vampire.”
Something Memorable: One memorable thing about Oliver’s appearance would be his hair, he is sort of obsessive about it, and he can’t help it. He loves the color, and the style, and his hair is something that people always remember about him.
mischievous
Mischief is a huge part of Oliver’s life. He is a major prankster, and he has always been that way. He doesn’t do anything that will get him into major trouble, because he knows better than that, but he does raise a little Hell now and again, and he is proud of himself for that. He’s smart enough to stay safe and keep himself from getting suspended from school or getting in trouble with his parents. Those are two things he wants to avoid at all costs.
independent
Oliver is also pretty independent, he loves trying to do things by himself when he first tries them, and he’s been that way since as long as he can remember. He loves the feeling of being able to accomplish a task on his own, and it’s just one of those things that makes him very happy inside and out. Another minor detail about Olly’s personality is that he can be ridiculously stubborn, only he calls it determination. He changes the word stubborn to determined because it has a more positive ring to it. When he believes in something, he follows it through to the end until he gets the results he wants. He has been this way since he was a little kid, and he has a feeling he always will be.
shy
There is one thing about Oliver James Lawrence that everybody notices the moment they meet him. He is incredibly shy, and he has been for a huge portion of his life. It’s one of those things that he can’t really help. He’s been through a lot and that is what has caused him to become so shy. It’s not that he doesn’t like being around people, it’s just that he doesn’t completely trust them. He’s been scorned before and he doesn’t want to open himself up to it again. Another detail about seventeen year old Oliver James Lawrence is that he is very reserved, this actually goes along with his shyness. He doesn’t really reveal anything about his past, preferring to keep it inside. He doesn’t think everyone needs to know what’s going on slash what’s gone on in his lifetime, which is why he just keeps his past in the past. He’s perfectly fine with keeping things that way.

Positive Traits:
----- INDEPENDENT ,
Independence is really a trait that can go either way, it depends on the person. When it comes to Oliver James Lawrence, however, he considers it to be a good thing. When one is independent and doesn’t depend on others, it is more difficult for them to get hurt. That’s not saying that Olly is socially awkward and tries not to have friends, but he just prefers to do his own thing most of the time rather than being with a group twenty four hours a day and seven days a week.
----- HONEST ,
Someone once said that honesty is the best policy, and Oliver definitely follows that quote. He isn’t ridiculously blunt or anything, but he does believe in telling the truth whenever necessary. Oliver doesn’t like having to lie to people, and it makes him feel ridiculously uncomfortable, which then explains why he is an honest person. It’s one of those things that he loves about himself, because when he’s honest, he can’t get in trouble for lying.
----- CARING ,
Oliver James Lawrence has one of the biggest hearts in the world, once he lets someone in he tends to care about them quite a bit. A key example of this in his life was when he was adopted by his new family, he could have very easily froze them out, but instead he accepted them, and he found himself happier than he had been in years, he was thrilled and there was nothing he would do to change it.
Negative Traits:
----- STUBBORN ,
Olly tends to be ridiculously stubborn, and he can’t help it. He has been that way since as long as he can remember, and he isn’t going to change anytime soon. When the seventeen year old believes in something, there is nothing anybody can do to change how he believes, whether he is wrong or not, he will continue to believe in his opinion or views whole heartedly.
----- TROUBLEMAKER ,
Oliver Lawrence loves to cause trouble, mischief, and every other synonym for trouble that exists. He enjoys it way more than he should and he can’t help it. He gets into trouble more often than he probably should, and while he doesn’t see the problem with it, the people around him do, so they try keeping him out of trouble, generally failing miserably because of how much he loves the rush.
----- GULLIBLE ,
Another thing about Oliver is the fact that he is incredibly gullible. People can convince him to do just about anything if they try hard enough. But yes, while he’s stubborn, he is also very gullible, you can convince him that anything he doesn’t know about is true.
Most intriguing quirk(s): Oliver tends to confuse himself very easily, he’ll plan something out seven or eight steps ahead, and then try to jump to the end without starting at the beginning.
Greatest Ambition: Oliver wants to meet his father and let him know what he’s been missing out on all these years.
Greatest Fear: Oliver is afraid to lose his adoptive family like he lost his mother twelve years ago.
Christine Lawrence was twenty three years old when she met James Sampson, she had no idea what to expect from him, they had just met and one night of drinks and dancing had turned into a fling at a local hotel. One and a half months later, Christine found out she was pregnant. She called James, but she had apparently been given a fake number. At this point, the twenty three year old woman had no idea what to do, she was pregnant, and she was alone. She went to her parents, hoping for their help, but they turned her away, disowning her and having nothing to do with the pregnancy. About seven months went by, bringing us to August 17th, 1992. This was the day that Christine went into labor. She took a cab to the nearest hospital, and it took about thirteen hours before she was “officially” a mother to a baby boy. The baby boy was perfectly healthy, and he was named Oliver James Lawrence. Despite the fact that the boy’s father had abandoned her, Christine felt that her son needed something from his father, so she gave her son his father’s first name as a middle name. It was the two of them against the world at this point, Christine had nobody but her son, and she actually didn’t mind it that much.
During his early years of life, Oliver and his mother were really close. They did everything together, and Oliver wouldn’t have had it any other way. But it seemed like just when things were becoming too good to be true, fate decided that a turn for the worse would do everybody some good. Olly had just started school, he was a kindergartener, and he loved it. He loved making friends, he loved playing with kids his own age, it seemed like things couldn’t get any better for the five year old. But one day, Olly was sitting outside the school, waiting for his mother to pick him up, and she was late. Two hours after she was supposed to be there, a police officer arrived at the school to pick up the little boy and take him away. Oliver had no idea what was going on, and the police officer tried to explain it to him. Christine Ann Lawrence had been killed in a fatal car accident, a pickup truck had smashed her and her car into a wall, killing her on impact. Oliver was crying, all he wanted was for his mother to come comfort her, he was too young to grasp the fact that she was gone forever and not coming back.
That was when Oliver was sent to an orphanage. He had no other family to speak of, considering his mother’s family had disowned her, and his father didn’t even know he existed. He was brought to an orphanage later that day, and it was where he would spend a good portion of his childhood. He was taken to his mother’s wake, his mother’s funeral, and that was when it finally hit him that she was gone. He missed her more than anything, and now he was alone. He had no one to turn to and that was killing him inside. This was when Oliver became a lot shyer, turning into himself and trying not to think about his mother.
Life in the orphanage where Oliver was sent after his mother’s death was… It was a variety of different emotions, they way he felt would depend severely on the day of the week and what was going on there. Most days he didn’t mind it, he made a lot of friends and they were people that he could trust and rely on. But there were some days when he hated it, for example, every year around December. Oliver hated celebrating the holidays, because they were a time to be spent with family, and he didn’t have any family to speak of. In Oliver’s mind, whenever someone said “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays” he felt like they were rubbing his nose in the fact that he didn’t have any blood related family to share the happy times with. It bothered him, but what could he do? He was just a kid.
Despite the friends Oliver had made during his nine years at the orphanage, he was more than thrilled when he was offered a place in someone else’s home. In other words, he was more than thrilled when he was adopted. He was fourteen years old when a relatively wealthy family came in looking for a young boy to call their family his own. The couple already had a twelve year old daughter, but after her birth they had learned that they were no longer able to conceive children. And the one thing they had wanted after their daughter was a son to “complete” their family. That was what had brought them to the orphanage in the first place. They met with boy after boy after boy, and they were beginning to give up hope, until finally, Oliver James Lawrence was brought into the room. Fifteen minutes of conversation later, the couple was sold, metaphorically speaking of course. They decided that day to adopt Oliver James Lawrence, and he went home to a family for the first time in nine years.
It has been three years since Oliver was adopted, he is a senior at the Collegiate School for Boys, and he likes it so far. He’s been there since his freshman year, and he is now a senior at the all boys school. He gets along pretty well with the rest of his new family, and he gets along with ninety percent of his classmates. He is applying to college at New York University, and various other colleges in the city, he doesn’t want to leave the city, because he doesn’t want to leave everything he has grown so attached to over the past three years, he did live there before, but the attachments and friendships didn’t start until he was in high school because of his new family.
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Best Memory: When it comes to Oliver's memories, there are quite a few that stand out as good memories. But one of his best memories would have to be the day that he was adopted. He was fourteen years old when it happened, and he was adopted by the Foxworths. They already had one daughter, she was twelve years old, and they had found out they couldn't conceive anymore, but they wanted a son more than anything. They had gone to the orphanage, and out of all the boys there, they had picked Oliver. To this day, Oliver doesn't know why they chose him over the other kids that were there, but he has been grateful for it ever since.
Worst Memory: Oliver James Lawrence’s worst memories are probably from the time that his mother died. First, the day she died in that horrible car crash. Her death tormented Oliver, losing the only family he had, but even worse than the death for the boy, who was five years old at the time, was the funeral, the wake, and all of the things associated with her death. Having to keep living the event over and over again was basically killing him inside and out. He missed his mother more than anyone could ever understand, and he hated hearing about losing her over and over again.
Top 3 life-changing moments:
----- HIS MOTHER'S DEATH ,
Oliver’s mother died when he was five years old. When it happened, she had been driving to Oliver’s school to pick him up. A pickup truck rammed into her car, essentially crushing the car, and her in it, against a brick wall. The reason this had such a huge effect on him was because his mother was the only person he had in his life. Oliver was ridiculously lost without his mother, and the loss of her caused him to be put into an orphanage. This basically put a really big spin on his life, and there was nothing he could do to change it, no matter how much he wished he could.
----- BEING ADOPTED ,
When Michael and Alexandra Foxworth brought Oliver into their family, it changed his life in such a big way. He was no longer stuck at the orphanage that he had lived in for the past nine years. He finally felt like he actually belonged somewhere, and the way he felt afterwards… He didn’t know how to explain it. It was a feeling so wonderful that nothing in the world could take his happiness away from him, and it was the best he felt in a long time.
----- HIS FIRST PRANK ,
A moment that helped shape Oliver’s personality was the day when he pulled his first prank. It turned him into the slight troublemaker that he is today, and if he had never done that prank, he probably would have been a completely different person. He was nine years old when it happened, and one of the workers at the orphanage had been causing trouble for him and his roommates. So Oliver and one of his roommates ended up pulling one of their infamous pranks on her, but this was the first one that had actually ended up being successful. They caused a bucket of syrup to fall on her head, as well as causing her to skid across the floor and smashing into a wall. But luckily nobody got hurt.
Family relationships:
----- CHRISTINE LAWRENCE ,
Christine is Oliver’s mother. For the first few years of his life they were incredibly close. They were the only people there for each other and Oliver loved his mother more than anything. But she died when he was only five years old, forcing him into an orphanage where he would spend a decent amount of his life.
----- MITCHELL AND ALEXANDRA FOXWORTH ,
When he was fourteen years old, Oliver Lawrence was adopted by the Foxworth family. They changed his life in a big way, he had gone from living in an orphanage for nine long years to having a home, to having a family. He had finally felt like he belonged for the first time in years, and he loved it more than words could describe. He had been surprised when he got adopted, mainly because he was fourteen years old, and most teenagers don’t get adopted.
----- JENNY FOXWORTH ,
Jenny is Oliver’s adoptive sister. She is two years younger than he is, and they are surprisingly close, considering that they haven’t known each other very long.
Travis was a city boy at heart, and not just because of the fact that he had lived in New York City for his entire life. He had the typical city boy personality. He had the ego, he had the flair… There really weren’t many other ways to describe how he lived his life. He was a flirt, and he was a whore. He grabbed bulls by the horns and just ran with life. He loved his lifestyle, and he couldn’t see himself doing anything to change the way he lived. Variety was the spice of life, and by flirting with a different girl every day, and sleeping with a different girl every night, he definitely kept a lot of variety in his life. It was a great thing and he didn’t see any reason that he should have to change who he was. If he was happy, what was the problem? That was one of his many life mottos, and there was nothing that could change that motto. He absolutely loved just having fun and doing wild and crazy things whenever he was given the opportunity. Whether it was with Adelaide, Peyton, or one of his many other friends… Doing things that were absolutely insane was just… his forte.
People who knew almost anything about Travis Hunter Cammilleri thought that his friendship with Adelaide Stacey Duke was a joke. She was so shy and reserved, and he was so… not. But it wasn’t a joke at all. It was a sixteen year friendship that was probably never going to change. Other people who knew them thought that they had a lot of romantic chemistry and sexual tension. Travis didn’t see it. In fact, Adelaide was the one female that he didn’t see in a romantic or sexual light, and that was probably because he had known her for so long. He knew pretty much everything about her, and while she was a pretty girl, she just didn’t give him that vibe that the girls he went after usually gave him. He couldn’t see Adelaide in that light, so many people had put that idea in his head, and he had tried to see it. But it just never happened. No matter how many times he had changed the scene, his mind refused to put him and Adelaide together.
But Travis had no idea where Adelaide would be without him. He had always been there for her as her crutch, when she got incredibly shy around people, he pulled her out of her shell, helping her develop at least a little bit of a backbone. He felt like it was his personal duty to make Adelaide have some sort of inner strength. It wasn’t an easy task, but he took it on with pride. Dellie needed to loosen up a little, she was wound up so tight… Travis knew that getting her to be a little more spontaneous was possible. He just didn’t know how he could do it sometimes. He tried and tried, but sometimes success was just out of his grasp, it was too far away for him. But despite all of that, he still tried. He had determination in his eyes when it came to getting Adelaide out of that incredibly thick shell. If it was an actual shell, he would have just taken a hammer to it gently, and gotten her out that way. But unfortunately, things weren’t that simple. He couldn’t just hammer Dellie out of that thick shell, he had to coax her out gently. And gentle and Travis Cammilleri weren’t always a very good combination.
The twenty one year old male shook his head, incredibly amused by his best friend’s paranoia. Sure, it wasn’t a good thing to be amused by. In fact… It was slightly rude. But he couldn’t help it. Dellie was just so… She was so entertaining. The way that the littlest things freaked her out amazed him every time. For example, the text message he had received today. It was like her missing a class that didn’t even truly count was the absolute worst thing in the world. And the fact that of all the people she could freak out to, she chose Travis? Well… That just made things even more interesting. Travis didn’t care about his classes, and everybody who knew him knew that. But for some reason, Dellie felt obliged to freak out about her problem to Travis, and that was when he had come up with his genius idea. His genius idea that was now causing her to freak out anymore, “Relax Pige,” He said, trying to calm her down as well as he could, “You’re not gonna get any kind of flu, you’re all bundled up and shit.” He spoke so… casually, with a simple shrug of the shoulders. It was how he always dealt with Adelaide, he tried to downplay what was bothering her, making it seem less like a mountain and more like a molehill.
It was at that moment that Travis walked over to his best friend, standing in front of her and cutting off her path mid-pace. He put his hands on her shoulders and looked down into her eyes, “Pige.” He said, his affectionate nickname candy coating what he was about to tell her, “You need to calm down.” Now. He sat down in the chair at his desk, and ended up pulling her down into his lap, trying to stop her from moving. He slipped his arms around her ever so casually, holding her there, “You can do this. You’re not even the one lying. I am. You have a twenty four hour bug that caused you to miss class. You did the right thing by not going and contaminating everyone. Got it?”
