talia rose dawn
optimistic, playful, & guarded
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Name: Talia Rose Dawn
Nickname(s): Sunshine (parents ONLY), Frenchie
Disney Character: Aurora
Age: Nineteen
Birthdate: December 31
Birthplace: Toulouse, France
Orientation: Heterosexual
Member group: herione
Education: Attended Nightingale Academy from Year One to Year Eight in Paris
Transferred to Briar Preparatory Boarding School for grades 9-12 in New York City
Currently in her sophomore year at New York Universities’ Tisch School of Arts
Occupation: Performs with her band, Sword of Truth, at venues all around the city.
Talia’s hair is beautiful, and one of her best features. Her long pale blonde hair falls straight to her hips, long and full in silky strands. Naturally, her hair is straight, but it can be curled and waved into any style easily and quickly. It is thick, and naturally it is not chocolate brown with blonde, but rather, a pretty golden brown, which made her hair look like spun gold had been woven through it. But Talia decided the color was too simple so she dyed it platinum. It is cut in a simple style, with one layer and the same length throughout, without the bangs that you sometimes see on other females. Her eyebrows are naturally curved, and her midnight sky eyes are certainly catching. Their color is more of a blueberry color, rather than navy blue. It is like looking into the bluest and clearest night sky, and is certainly just as mesmerizing. Right after her hair, this is her second best feature, and it probably comes from a mixture of her parents, her mother having grey eyes and her father having blue eyes.
Talia has not have to work to keep her skin blemish and mark free. The only marks she gets on her face are bruises from being tossed around in the mosh pit at concerts. There is only one feature that Talia really does not like about herself. In her view, her nose is too big for the rest of her face, too large, too obvious. Besides her nose, Talia isn't too fond of her size 10. This is mainly because she has a difficult time finding shoes in that size. Although she isn’t the tallest girl, she is taller than the average female, standing at 5'8''. She is also quite slender, therefore not having the curves that other women have. However, that does not mean she is completely shapeless, her curves do still exist and her chest is slightly smaller than most of the girls around her. Her long dancer legs also help out her overall appearance.
Her style cannot be described under one label. She usually dresses in skinny jeans, leather jackets and fedoras but sometimes she is more feminine, wearing high-waisted skirts with band shirts. Her aunts are constantly buying her lavish gowns that just get tossed to the back of her closet. Though she usually dresses in a sort of rock attire, she loves bohemian style clothing such as fringe boots and leather vests. Fashion had always been potent to Talia because it is such an easy way to express oneself.
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Best Feature: “My favorite feature is definitely my hair. I just adore the way it flows in the breeze. I used to have that golden blond hair that girls strive so much for but I found it far too plain with someone like me. I love the pale shade of blond that it currently is but knowing myself; it will probably be dyed again in a month’s time.”
Worst Feature: “Probably my nose. I have never been too fond of noses in the first place for the take so much space. I just don't like how mine turns up at the end. ”
Something Memorable: Talia’s most memorable feature is her eyes. They are fairly large as far as eyes go and have a very thick, dark ring around the iris. They are usually the first thing people truly notice about her because the color is bright and eye catching. Some people swear that they even see stars in her eyes.
Talia is a fairly gaurded person, though no one would guess it. She may act all confident and outspoken but that is all a facade. She has a very hard time opening up to others. This comes from her parents raising her as a child that should be “seen and not heard” and that just stuck with her when she moved to the city. When she starts opening up to people, she tells them of her strong opinions and her beliefs.
Ever since she came to the City, she shucked her old dependence and became very independent. She can't stand it whenever people do things for her; she wants to do it for herself and she wants to learn. Talia won't throw a fit about it but she may rant to herself later on about how she was perfectly capable of during stuff herself.
From a very early age Talia’s parents called her Sunshine because she is very optimistic in the worst of situations. Do not be fooled by her optimist and cheery persona for Talia can ber very deceitful. She will lie right through her teeth to get what she wants and luckily for her, she is excellent at it. From deceit comes guilt. When boys smile at her and say how much they love her (at that moment) it just crushes Talia because most of the time they are falling for what Talia knew they would fall for. But there is the rare case where boys want exactly what Talia is; a shy, independent girl who is just looking for someone to open up to.

Positive Traits:
Optimistic – For Talia, being optimistic is potent in her life. So many people around her just focus on how shitty life can be but she just sees the good in the world. When people see how very optimistic she is about most everything, they tend to follow her.
Unregretful – Regretting things just seems like such a waste of precious time to Talia. She strongly believes that everything happens for a reason and doing stupid things without thinking are sometimes the best way of doing it. She lives her life by just letting things happen without regretting her choices.
Passionate – When Talia gets into something, she jumps in head first. She is very strong in her opinions and beliefs and is passionate in everything she does. If she is doing something in which she lacks passion, she knows to ditch it because there are so many things in this world to be passionate about. But sometimes she gets too passionate over things a little too quickly and ends up heart broken.
Negative Traits:
Naive – Talia would never admit this to anyone but when she lost her virginity, she had no clue what was going on. She thought they just went back to her room to talk, but it turned out to be so much more. Part of her naivety comes from her wanting everyone in this world to be good, decent people, which is just a silly wish that she needs to realize will never come true.
Guarded – Though one would never guess it, Talia is actually very guarded. When she is on the stage singing to the crowd, she seems so fearless and outgoing. But when she is off the stage, she slips into her own little world and never really opens up for anyone. Her whole act of confidence and mystery when trying to get a boy is all a façade.
Vengeful – If there is one thing Talia could change about herself is the fact that she seeks revenge like bee seeks the perfect flower. If you get on the wrong side of her, you better watch out because not only does she know some people, but she has a few tricks up her sleeve. She has always been like this, even when she was a wee child; pulling pranks to get even with her friends.
Most intriguing quirk(s): She never uses the front door to her flat but only uses the fire escape. She brings in any animal she finds on the street. Every piece of clothing she has in blue, she has the exact some piece of clothing in pink.
Greatest Ambition: Playing in a rock band for Talia is somewhat of a momentarily desire. She loves music so much and knows she can sing very well but that’s not what she wants in life. What she really wants is to be that girl that a boy would be so proud to bring home to his mother, not this whore who sleeps with everyone.
Greatest Fear: Talia is most afraid of being alone in life. There will always be boys wanting her but she knows all they want her for is for a quick fix. On nights when she can’t sleep, she gets so scared knowing that none of the guys she has been with have truly loved her. She just needs one boy to prove all of them wrong.
Years had gone by and alas, the Prime Minister of France had the baby daughter he had always dreamt of. Her name was to be Talia, the dew of heaven. The whole country celebrated her birth and Paris was buzzing with parties, especially her christening. Three close aunts traveled from America just give Talia their blessings. One said that she was destined for beauty and another said her voice would be as sweet as honey. Before the third one could share what good she believed would come to the baby, a dark shadow of a woman appeared and said that the baby would be nothing but a whore from the moment she turned sixteen. All the third woman could do after the dark woman's words was to reassure everyone Talia would be a fine girl.
As the beautiful ray of sunlight grew up, her parents encouraged her to set her sights on one of the member of parliament's son, (insertname), for it would be very advantageous. That was the final straw that Talia could take of her parents telling her what to do. In a matter of hours she called her aunts who lived in New York City to see if they could get her into Briar Preparatory, a private music school in Manhattan. With what seemed the flick of a wand, Talia began school at Briar that fall. Living in New York City definitely changed Talia into the kind of person her parents dreaded. She went to concerts every weekend (some of them being her own), she wore military jackets and died her hair absurd colors, but she was still cheerful and witty as ever.
On her sixteenth birthday, things got shaken up a bit. Talia didn't see her aunts often but they felt as though they owed her a grand party. They rented out the ballroom at the Waldorf, hired a rock band and let teenagers do what they do best; party. Before the party had begun, Talia's parents had called warning her about what the dark women had said at her christening. She just laughed it off and let her worries loose. That night, Talia lost her virginity to the bassist of the band. It wasn't even hard for her to get him by himself, let alone in bed. That moment was when she finally realized she had been missing out on something great.
She started sleeping with any guy she could get her hands on. Being the lead singer of a band sure helped because what guy didn't want to be with Talia Dawn, the sexy French girl from Sword of Truth? None of her "boyfriends" lasted more than a week because they were built on nothing but lust and seduction. Sometimes Talia wished she could change it all and prove the dark woman wrong but that would not have been as much fun. What she needs is just one guy to kiss her and actually mean it. Maybe that will finally wake her up.
[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]Best Memory: Butterflies waltzed through her stomach and thoughts of doubt bubbled in her mind. “Sword of Truth, you’re on in two,” The stage manager whispered to Talia and her band. She looked at her band mates with a nervous smile and walked onto the stage. The bright lights made it almost impossible for her to see the audience but her eyes gradually adjusted. A smile crept upon her face and she screamed into the microphone, “Are you ready to have your faces rocked off, New York City?” Everyone in the crowd cheered. This is easier than I thought, Talia thought. Once the music flowed from her friends’ instruments and she started singing, everything felt perfect; as though she was meant to be on that stage.
Worst Memory: Morning’s soft light slipped through her dorm window, causing Talia to stir. For a moment she was confused of what day it was and where she was. That changed when she noticed the man’s chest she was resting on and a smug grin spread on her face. She was so proud of herself having gotten with the school’s hottest teacher, the twenty six year old Mr. Ross. What a way to end high school, she pondered. A knock on the door almost made her jump from the bed until she realized it was probably just her roommate wanting to get to the bathroom. “Come in,” Talia whispered as not wake Mr. Ross. But it wasn’t her roommate that came through the doorway, but rather her father with a trey of Talia’s favorite French breakfast. The trey dropped on the floor with a loud clang. Talia’s father started to breathe very hard and his eyes narrowed. “What the fuck is this?! I come here for your graduation even though you don’t even bother to call your mother or I and I find you sleeping with this- is that your teacher? Dear Lord, what have I done to deserve this?!” He shouted to the heavens and slammed the door on his way out. Talia’s heart dropped and her mind raced a mile a second with thoughts of getting cut off from the family. Mr. Ross moved under her body and smiled up at her. Obviously the door slamming had woken him. “Everything alright?” He asked, pushing a loose lock of hair behind her ear. All Talia could do was nod and kiss his lips to distract her.
Top 3 life-changing moments:
Her Christening – Talia often wonders if she would be like she is if that dark woman hadn’t said what she said at her christening. That woman’s words definitely shaped who Talia had become and changed her life for the worse.
Moving to New York City – The move to the City has made Talia much more independent and made her a bit less shy. It also has toughened her up and made her more rebellious to what her parents say.
Loosing Her Virginity – This opened her eyes open to the whole world of sex and for Talia, it showed her what she was missing out on. Because of this, she gets with just about any guy she can get with.
Family relationships:
Stephen Dawn – Talia and her father had always butted heads. He believes that life should be planned out to the second, whereas Talia thinks life should be spontaneous. He truly loves her but hates what she has become. The night before her high school graduation, he found Talia in bed with one of her teachers and every since then they have not spoken to each other.
Leah Dawn – Though Leah would never admit this, she agrees with Talia in most aspects but thinks her daughter should do what is best for her future and to Leah, that means Talia marrying into a very good family. They used to get along great until Leah started to want to control Talia’s life and that is when Talia saw what was going on and left for New York.
Aunts – Talia cares for her aunts very much and as do they. Her aunts may not necessarily agree with Talia’s choices in life but they respect her and have her goals in their minds. Talia would do most anything for her aunts because she knows they would do the same.
I ran across the field, dribbling the black and white ball. I crossed right, then left. The opposing team expected me to shoot towards the goal, but we had a different plan. I swung my leg back, looking as though i would do one of my power kicks. I pivoted to the left and kicked it to one of my team mates. The other team was slightly surprised for a second and that was when we scored our goal. We rejoiced in triumph. "Good scrimmage," the goalie said and shook my hand. All of my friends came over and patted me on the back. Most people would think they would be honoring the guy who scored the goal but when you look at soccer, it is all about the passes and I made what was the best pass in history of Shatteredpond.
"Hey, Jeff! Grab my camera!" I shouted at my friend who had come to watch the game. All of my team mates gathered around, sweat and all. "One. Two. Three!" Jeff counted down and clicked. I could tell that picture would most definitely go in my scrapbook. I have to go develop that later, I thought. A group of girls walked toward me (more like stalked). "You did such an amazing job out there, Christian," the blonde of the group spoke flirtaciaouly. "You must be so hot. I brought you some water," one of the others said as she offered a bottle Fiji water. "Thanks girls, but I have to go," I awkwardly backed away and sprinted towards the bleachers.
I took my sweaty shirt off and wiped my face. I stuffed it in my navy blue soccer bag. I felt a pat on the shoulder and looked up to see Coach Kaufmann. "Great job out there, Snow. They really didn't see it coming," he said, beaming. We spoke some about more strategies and working in some more practices. "See ya later, Coach," I hollered and headed for the dorm building. The moment I pushed the doors open, a gust of air conditioning hit me. I sighed with sweet content. I shuffled to my dorm. On the way, I noticed smoke seeping from the bottom of a door leading to one of the dorms. If I hadn’t know whose dorm it was, I would have thought there was a fire, but I knew better. I banged my fists on the door in a rhythmical way. "Stoners! Stop stoning!" I yelled jokingly.
Finally, I emerged from the bathroom. After making Shatteredpond history for best pass, a cold shower was deserved. My room carried the familiar scent of axe. I sprayed some on and began the search for some jeans. I dug through my closet before I found a clean pair. "Now for a shirt...," I trailed off as I began ravaging through my drawers. I slipped my arms through the sleeves of a long sleeve button down. I didn't bother buttoning it, I didn't have time. I grabbed my camera and slipped out the door.
I ran into one of my soccer team mates on the way to the black room. We talked about how annoying those girls always are. "They always come to our games and they always offer all of us that Fiji water," he exclaimed. Some of us always joke that that water is laced with some love potion or something. "Well this is my stop," I said, gesturing towards the photography class. I began to open the door with my back and remembered something. "Coach was talking about maybe having practice tomorrow morning. He said if he does, he will send out an email," I said as the door opened. I noticed that there was some stuff on one of the desks. I wonder whose here at this hour, I thought.
I pushed the revolving door and was revealed to the strange lighting of the black room. There was a girl with her hand in the cold water. She looked familiar. The moment my eyes adjusted, I knew it was Deanna. The Lord was working on my side today. She was in my photography class even though she was only a sophomore. I grabbed my goggles and walked towards her. "Hey," I said with a nod. I ignored her hand in the water, I didn't want to miss this chance to finally talk to her. "How are you?" I asked. How stupid was that, I scolded myself. "Wait, scratch that. It's a lame question. I've been wanting to talk to you. Just to, you know, talk." Shut up. Shut up. Shut up and develop you fucking picture, I yelled at myself silently.
